Refund policy

We want you to love what you order. Different items on our site have different return rules. Every product page shows the rule for that item, under "Shipping and returns" — please check it before you buy. The rule is set by the item, not by the order.

Custom tablecloths – final sale

Every tablecloth we make is cut and finished to order from our own fabric. For that reason our tablecloths are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. If you are unsure about a color or a texture, please order a swatch first.

Fabric by the yard – 14 days

Uncut, unused fabric by the yard may be returned within 14 days of delivery.

  • A 15% restocking fee applies to the returned fabric.
  • Return shipping is paid by the customer, and the original delivery charge is not refunded.
  • Fabric that has been cut, washed, sewn or altered in any way cannot be returned.
  • Fabric must come back in its original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase.

Home, bath, bedding and other table linens – 14 or 30 days

These items arrive finished, in their own packaging. We are happy to take one back within its return window, as long as it is still unopened, in its original packaging, with the bag or box not torn. We are sorry, but once the packaging has been opened we are not able to accept it back. The return window depends on the item:

  • Some items may be returned within 14 days of delivery.
  • Some items may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
  • There is no restocking fee on any of these items.
  • Return shipping is paid by the customer, and the original delivery charge is not refunded.

The window that applies to your item is shown on that item's product page, under "Shipping and returns". If you are not sure which window applies, or about a size or a color, email info@clothandlinen.com before you open the packaging and we will gladly help.

Swatches and samples

Swatches and samples are non-returnable — they are yours to keep.

Cancelling an order

Orders move to production or to our supplier quickly. If you need to cancel, email info@clothandlinen.com as soon as you can. We will cancel the order if it has not yet been made or shipped. Once an order has shipped it has to be handled as a return under the rules above. Custom tablecloths cannot be cancelled once they have been cut.

How to start a return

Email info@clothandlinen.com with your order number and the item you want to return. Please do this before sending anything back. Items sent back without an approved return cannot be accepted.

Damaged, defective or wrong items

Please check your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, email info@clothandlinen.com within 7 days of delivery and we will make it right at no cost to you. This applies to every item we sell, including final sale tablecloths.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return we will email you to let you know it was approved. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days. Original delivery charges are not refunded. Please remember that your bank or credit card company may need extra time to post the refund.
