What size cloth does my table need?
Two lines of arithmetic and one decision — how far down the sides you want it to hang. That is the whole guide; everything else is detail.
The whole method, in two lines
table length + (2 × drop) = cloth length
table width + (2 × drop) = cloth width
table width + (2 × drop) = cloth width
That is it. The rest of this page is choosing the drop and reading it off.
Step one — pick a drop
8 in
Casual. Clears a lap, right for a buffet people stand at, and the least fabric.
12 in
Standard for dining and most events. If you are unsure, this is the one.
To the floor
Formal. Measure the height of the table and use that as the drop — usually 28 to 30 in.
Step two — do the sum
Banquet table
96 × 30 in, 12 in drop
96 + (2 × 12) = 120 in long
30 + (2 × 12) = 54 in wide
So the cloth is 120 × 54 in — and that is exactly what we cut for you. Not on the list? Ask.

60 in round, 12 in drop
60 + (2 × 12) = 84 in across

Choose the 84 in round.
Round tables
Measure across the top and add twice the drop — a 60 in round with a 12 in drop wants an 84 in cloth. Round cloths are listed by finished diameter, so that is the number to pick.
Two rules that save most of the mistakes
Do not settle for the nearest size. Every cloth is cut to order, so give us your table’s real measurements and we make it to fit.
Measure the table, not the old cloth. Old linen has usually shrunk, and was often the wrong size to begin with.
