How many yards do I need?
Put in the finished size and the roll width, and it will tell you the yardage and show you how it got there. If a tablecloth would be cheaper made by us, it says so.
Each fabric page carries its own.
What to order
4
yards
a piece 120 × 54 in
54 in fits across the 54 in roll
120 in = 120 in ÷ 36 → 4 yd, rounded up
Enter and this will fill itself in. A blank is better than a number we made up.
This does not fit across one width of the roll, so the finished piece will have a seam in it. We place seams away from the center of a table.
One width covers it, so no seam is needed. Round up rather than down — nobody has ever regretted an extra yard.
Before you order yardage
If what you are making is a tablecloth, compare this against having us sew it: ours start at $62.99 finished and hemmed, which often beats yardage plus somebody’s time. Either way the arithmetic is only as good as the roll width, so check the fabric’s own page.
Cutting something with a repeat, or matching an existing piece? Send the measurements — info@clothandlinen.com — and we will work it out with you rather than have you guess.
