How to Care for Cloth Napkins
Caring for cloth napkins or more specifically cotton and linen napkins doesn't have to be an ordeal. With just a few tips and tricks you can care for, wash, get stains out of your napkins and while enjoying frequent use.
You are probably wondering if you need to iron your cloth, linen or cotton napkins?
Well that depends on the look you are going for.
Our 100% linen napkins look great when removed from the dryer still damp and laid flat to finish drying. They end up with the perfect organic looking waves and crimps that give it that delicious 'linen' look. If you are going for more of a stiff (our hemstitched napkins are divine when stiff and voluminous) clean and formal look then ironing just a few strokes over a lightly damp napkin will do wonders and give you exactly the look you are going for.
100% cotton napkins can similarly be pulled from the dryer early and simply smoothed out and laid flat to finish drying. Likewise if you are looking for a sharp look then run an iron over them to achieve that. Iron over when the napkin is a flat square and then fold as you go, running the ironing over each fold and you'll end up with the perfect looking napkin, table ready.
